Introduction to Natural Swimming Pools: Sustainable Design Principles and Biological Filtration
Natural Swimming Pools 101 is a beginner-friendly live online course approved by the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES) and offered by BioNova Natural Pools. It introduces chemical-free natural swimming pools and covers biological filtration, regeneration zones, design and zoning for landscape integration, and the health, biodiversity and sustainability benefits. Participants learn how biological filtration keeps water clear without chemicals and how to identify core design elements. They also learn to describe the health, safety and environmental advantages and to spot opportunities to use natural pool concepts on client projects. The course carries 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) and is Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) eligible. The course is presented by Allen Schnaak. It is free and open to all.
